We bake a lovely assortment of fresh breads and other
specialty baked goods. They are available for sale in the farm store and
sometimes at special events. The boys are always tinkering around and trying new
recipes, but some usual suspects include:
Italian:
Traditional, naturally leavened. Crusty outside; soft and moist
inside.
Rye:
Hearty with depth of flavor from three different flours, dark beer and cider.
Comes seeded or unseeded. An excellent sandwich bread.
Peanut Butter
Chocolate Chunk Cookies: It's
all in the name. mmmmm.
Olive & Onion Rolls:
Crusty French dough rolled with marinated olives and herbs or caramelized
onions. Big enough to eat as a meal.
Focaccia:
This light flat bread is a staple in Italy. We top ours with a variety of
seasonal ingredients. Perfect for noshing.
Chocolate Cherry Bread:
Black bread filled with chunks of chocolate and sweet dried cherries. Makes out
of this world French toast!
Pumpernickel:
Thick black crust, cake like texture with hints of cocoa, onions, and
malt.
Raisin Bread:
Italian bread chock-full of raisin goodness. This one's popular with our CSA
members.
Multigrain:
Whole wheat bread with 7 toasted grains- millet, amaranth, cracked wheat,
flaxseeds, sesame, corn & oats.
